Eileen Tipping writes songs that blend humor and soulful introspection in an eclectic brew of styles: jazz, blues, folk and country. Her topics range from the search for passion and meaning in life to the struggle for identity in the wasteland of modern culture. Though she is a relative newcomer to the world of songwriting, Eileen honed her performing skills for several years as the lead singer in a number of local blues and dance bands. She has received a number of awards for her work, and recently placed as a finalist in the Great American Songwriting Contest.
