Bob Beach

 



Bob Beach has been singing and playing harmonica and flute professionally for more than 30 years. Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, Bob relocated to Western PA after high school. From 1976 to 1997 Bob worked in bands and other musical projects based in the city of Pittsburgh. While there Bob was a mainstay of the club scene and also very involved in recording. Bob has the versatility to work within a number of different musical genres. He has been involved in commercials, film, session work and his own band recording projects. In 1997 Bob came back to Philadelphia and has continued performing and recording. He has supported a number of local musicians, including Bob Bohne, Colleen McFarland, Jive Five Minus Two and others, both live and in the studio. Bob is active in the Fortissimo Folk Music group and the Lansdowne Folk Club. Recently Bob produced and performed on a CD for the Philadelphia Jug Band. Bob continues to record and perform with longtime musical partner DC Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald & Beach have recorded 4 CDs and perform regularly. The most recent is “Joyful Noise,” a collection of spiritual and gospel songs. Their newest project will be released in the spring of 2005 by the BoneDog Records label. Since coming to this area Bob has played at the NERFA Conference and the Philadelphia Folk Festival twice, DelMarva Folk Fest a number of times, Spring Gulch Folk Festival, and many local venues and radio programs. Bob also brings his unique talents to worship services at First Presbyterian Church in Lansdowne, PA.
